Overview
Flits Wishlist integrates directly into Shopify’s Legacy Customer Accounts and New Shopify Customer Accounts, giving returning customers an easy way to access their saved items. This improves repeat session engagement, reduces friction, and creates a smoother path from browsing → wishlist → purchase.
This article explains how to enable wishlist visibility in both account types and what shoppers can expect to see.
1. Display Wishlist in Legacy Customer Accounts
Legacy (classic) Shopify customer accounts remain widely used, especially by long-standing merchants. Enabling wishlist here places a direct link inside the account dashboard.
How to enable:
Open Flits Wishlist
Navigate to Wishlist Settings → Customer Account Integration
Enable Show Wishlist in Legacy Customer Account
Save changes
What customers see:
A Wishlist link appears in their account menu
Clicking it opens the main Wishlist Page
Saved items (products + variants) appear with options to remove or add to cart
This is ideal for stores with high returning customer traffic.
2. Display Wishlist in New Shopify Customer Accounts
Shopify’s new account experience uses an embedded app-block structure. Flits fully supports this system.
How to enable:
In Flits Wishlist, click Add App Block
Shopify opens the Customer Account Editor
In the left panel, select Profile
Scroll to App Blocks
Add Flits Wishlist block
Click Add to Menu
(Optional) Edit the label (e.g., “My Wishlist”)
Save changes
What shoppers see:
A wishlist link integrated directly into the new Shopify account UI
A consistent experience across desktop and mobile
Saved items with images, variants, prices, and add-to-cart actions
3. Benefits of Enabling Wishlist in Customer Accounts
Better Customer Experience
Customers expect their saved items to be available whenever they return to their account.
Higher Conversions
Returning users often resume their purchase journey through their wishlist rather than browsing again.
Improved Engagement
Customers are more likely to maintain and update their wishlist when it's easy to access.
4. Troubleshooting
Wishlist link not appearing in legacy accounts?
Verify the toggle is enabled
Make sure theme embed is active
Confirm you’re checking a logged-in customer session
Wishlist not visible in new accounts?
Ensure the app block was added under Profile
Save theme editor changes
Check if your store has access to Shopify’s new accounts
