Introduction


The Mini Account Drawer is an exclusive feature available for merchants on the Established Plan. It enables your customers to access and manage their account details like orders, wishlist, loyalty points, and recently viewed items in a sleek, compact slider interface on your storefront.

What is the Mini Account Drawer?

The Mini Account Drawer adds a slider-style customer portal that appears on the side of your website. It allows customers to:

  • Sign in or create an account

  • View orders, wishlist, and recently viewed items

  • Access loyalty and store credit details

  • Browse personalized product recommendations

All without navigating away from the page.


Follow the steps below to enable and customize the Mini Account Drawer:

1. Enable the Feature

  • Go to the Flits Admin Panel.

  • Navigate to Onsite > Mini Account Drawer.

  • Click the Turn on button (top-right corner) to activate it.

2. Customize Your Drawer Layout

This section is divided into 2 parts:

  1. Settings panel on the left side, provides multiple setup options.

  2. Preview panel on the right, give live updates of your changes to verify layout before publishing.

 
Let's learn the customization options:

A. Design

  • Logo & Color: Upload your logo and choose brand-matching colors.

  • Position

    • Set the drawer to open from the left or right of the screen

    • Set the navigation bar to appear on the top or bottom of the drawer

  • Navigation Menu Titles: Rename the tabs (e.g., For You, Orders, Profile) to match your brand tone.

B. "For You" Tab

Customize what your customers see under the For You section:

  • Welcome Message: Personalize the welcome experience for both new and returning customers.

    • Show a friendly greeting when the customer is signed in, highlighting quick access to orders, wishlist, and personalized picks.

    • Display a branded message for guests that encourages them to sign in or create an account, along with helpful call-to-actions.

  • Recently ViewedDisplay a scrollable list of products the customer has recently interacted with.

    • Customize the section's visibility and title to match your store’s branding.


  • Wishlist: Let customers quickly revisit the items they’ve wishlisted.

  • Popular Today: Highlight trending products to drive quick customer interest. 

    • Set a custom heading, tag, and default products to avoid empty states when recommendations are unavailable. Click to learn more.

  • Marketing Banner: Show a visually engaging banner inside the mini account drawer. Highlight seasonal promotions, collections, or announcements. 

    • Customize the heading, subtext, banner image, and link it to any page.


C. Loyalty & Store Credit

Show customers their loyalty points, referral link, and store credit balance directly inside the drawer.

D. Footer Links

Add helpful links like Terms, Contact Us, or custom navigation.


3. Set Up the "Orders" Tab

Enable visibility settings for the Re-order and Contact us buttons within the mini account drawer based on your preference. These buttons appear under the customer’s recent orders.

4. Publish and Test

Once you're happy with the setup:

  • Click Save on top of the screen.

  • Test it on your storefront as a customer.


Where is the Mini Account Drawer accessible from?

The Mini Account Drawer can be opened by clicking the account icon on your storefront. It is visible to both guest and signed-in users, and works seamlessly with any version of Shopify customer accounts, including new and classic layouts.

  • Use clear and welcoming language in the welcome message.

  • Keep navigation titles short and intuitive.

  • Match the color scheme with your store’s branding.

  • Promote key offers in the marketing banner.
