This article answers common questions about disabling the Flits App Embed from the specific theme of your Shopify store.

Why Would You Want to Disable It?

  • You are switching to a new theme and haven’t set up the Flits customer account page yet.

  • You want to temporarily remove Flits from your storefront etc.

Important: Disabling the App Embed will hide Flits features along with the customer account page from this particular theme but does not uninstall the app or delete any data.

Steps to Disable the Flits App Embed:


1. Log in to your Shopify Admin.


2. Go to Online Store > Themes.


3. Click Customize on the theme (You want to disable Flits App Embeds)

4. In the theme editor, open the App Embeds panel (left sidebar).


5. Find Flits and toggle the Switch off.


6. Click Save button to apply the changes.

Things to Keep in Mind

  • To use Flits features again on this theme, you need to enable the Flits App Embed in your theme. Click here to see how.

  • Disabling the App Embed does not affect your Flits settings, customer data, or subscription.

  • Preview your theme after disabling the Flits app embed to confirm that Flits features are no longer visible

Note: App Embed option is only supported in Flits latest Version 3 and 4. It is not supported in Flits Version 1 or 2.
