Introduction

This article explains how to decide where customers can redeem their loyalty points in your store. You can choose to let customers redeem points on the cart page, checkout page, or manually by placing the dropdown code at a specific location.


Steps to Set Up Points Redemption Location

  1. Go to the Flits Admin Panel:
    From your Shopify admin, navigate to Apps → Flits → Onsite Content → Points redemption location.


  2. Click Setup:
    In the Points redemption location section, click the Setup button.


  3. Select a Location:
    Under Where can the customers apply points for redemption, choose one of the following options:

a. Set default location on cart page

  • The redeem points dropdown will automatically appear on the cart page.

  • This is the default setup option.

b. Set location manually on cart page

  • This option lets you place the redeem dropdown manually anywhere on the cart page.

  • Simply copy the provided code snippet and paste it into your theme file at the desired location.

c. Checkout (Only for Shopify Plus)

  • This option adds the redeem points dropdown to the checkout page.
  • Only Shopify Plus stores can use this option because it relies on Shopify Checkout Extensions.
  • Make sure you have enabled the Flits Checkout Extension to display or reposition the dropdown.

Notes

  • The checkout redemption option is visible only for Shopify Plus stores.

  • For non-Plus stores, redemption can be set up only on the cart page (default or manual setup).

  • Changes made here automatically update the redeem points visibility for customers.
