The Omnisend integration sends your customers' Flits wishlist activity along with their wishlist count straight into their Omnisend contact profiles. This lets you segment shoppers by wishlist behavior and power targeted email and SMS campaigns.

To turn it on, generate an API key in Omnisend and paste it into Flits.

1. Before You Start

  • Make sure the Omnisend app is installed in your Shopify store.
  • Have access to your Omnisend account so you can generate an API key.

2. How to Connect Flits with Omnisend

  1. In Flits, go to Settings → Integrations, find Omnisend Email Marketing & SMS, and click Connect to open the integration page.
  2. In your Omnisend account, go to Profile → Integrations & API → API Keys and generate an API key. You can also use the Generate your API key link on the integration page to jump there.
  3. Copy the API key, return to Flits, paste it into the Omnisend API key field, and click Connect.
  4. The integration activates and the Status shows Active. You can turn it off any time with Deactivate.

3. What Syncs to Omnisend

Once connected, wishlist data flows into your Omnisend contacts:

  • In Omnisend, open Audience → Contacts and select any customer.
  • Their profile shows their wishlist-related activities along with their wishlist count.
  • You can then build segments and automations around this behavior, for example campaigns targeting customers with items saved on their wishlist.

Where do I find my Omnisend API key?

In Omnisend, go to Profile → Integrations & API → API Keys and generate a key there. The Generate your API key link on the Flits integration page takes you to the same place.

Where does the wishlist data appear in Omnisend?

In Audience → Contacts, inside each individual customer's profile. You'll see their wishlist activities and their total wishlist count.

Do I need the Omnisend app installed first?

Yes. Install the Omnisend app in your store before connecting, so data has a destination to sync to.

What happens if I delete the API key and reconnect with a new one?

Data will start reflecting in the Omnisend dashboard only after a 15-minute sync window. Any events or data generated during that 15-minute period will not be captured, so avoid reconnecting during a busy campaign window if you can.

How do I turn the integration off?

Open the Omnisend integration page in Flits and click Deactivate. The status will change from Active.

Do I need to re-enter the key after activating?

No. Once connected and active, the integration keeps syncing - you only re-enter a key if you deliberately replace it.

5. Troubleshooting

  • Wishlist data isn't showing on a contact

Confirm the integration status is Active in Flits and that the correct API key was pasted. If you recently reconnected with a new key, allow the 15-minute sync window before checking again.


  • Connect isn't working

Re-copy the API key from Omnisend, making sure no extra spaces were copied, and try again.


  • I reconnected and some activity is missing

Events generated during the 15-minute sync window after a key change aren't captured. New activity after that window will sync normally.
