Overview

Flits Wishlist allows you to customize every text label used in wishlist UI components, such as buttons, pop-ups, and the wishlist page. Each language can be edited separately, but translations will only appear on your storefront when that language is published in Shopify.

English is the default and acts as the fallback for any missing translations.


1. Editable Wishlist Text Elements

You can customize translations for:

  • “Add to Wishlist”

  • “Added to Wishlist”

  • Wishlist page heading

  • “Remove”

  • “Move to Cart”

  • Empty wishlist message

  • Variant popup labels

  • Error and success messages

Each field can be edited for every added language.


2. How to Edit Translation Text

  1. Go to Flits Wishlist → Settings → Translation

  2. Select your language

  3. Edit the text fields

  4. Click Save

Changes update instantly—provided the language is published in Shopify.


3. How Translations Appear on Your Storefront

Translations appear only when:

  • The customer views the storefront in a published Shopify language, and

  • That language’s translations exist in Flits

If the Shopify storefront language is set to English (or another published language), Flits automatically displays the wishlist text in that language.


4. Fallback Behavior

If any translation is left blank or missing:

  • Flits displays English, the default language

This ensures your storefront never shows empty or broken labels.


5. Using Translations for Branding

You can customize text per language to match your brand's tone.

Examples:

  • "Add to Wishlist" → "Save It"

  • "Wishlist" → "Favorites"

  • "Move to Cart" → "Add to Bag"

Each language can have its own tone; you are not required to translate literally.
