Introduction
This article introduces the many ways customers can earn loyalty points in your store, using Flits. Enabling diverse earning rules; such as purchases, social sharing, reviews, and more helps you build a loyalty program that drives repeat visits and higher engagement.
Points-earning opportunities can be set up via Loyalty Program > Loyalty > Add Ways to Earn.
Overview of Earning Rules
Merchants can activate a mix of earning rules to reward a variety of customer actions. Here’s a brief guide to each available option:
1. Account Creation
Sign Up: New customer registration is rewarded with points. Great for encouraging more sign-ups.
Example: 50 points for creating an account.
2. Order Activity
Place Order: Customers earn points on every purchase.
Fixed Points: Set points per order.
Incremental Points: Award points proportional to amount spent.
Specific Product Purchase: Reward points on certain product purchases/tags.
3. Newsletter Engagement
Subscribe to Newsletter: Customers joining your email list get rewarded.
Example: 70 points for subscribing.
4. Birthdays
Birthday Reward: Surprise customers with bonus points on their birthday—boosts goodwill and loyalty.
Example: 100 points on birthday.
5. Product Interaction
Product Review: Encourage feedback—reward customers for writing product reviews. Points and activity can be toggled Active/Inactive.
6. Social Media Engagement
Facebook: Like, Share
Instagram: Like, Follow
X (Twitter): Follow, Share link
TikTok: Follow
Each social action can be customized for points and activation status.

The visibility and types of earning rules may vary by Flits plan.
Merchants can edit, deactivate, or delete specific earning rules at any time to adapt to dynamic marketing needs and seasonal campaigns.
Social, review, and purchase-based earning rules work together to keep loyalty activity high and engage a broad customer base.
