Introduction

This rule allows customers to redeem earned loyalty points for a selected product at no additional cost by matching the discount value to the product’s price.


How do I set up a Free Product reward?

  1. Select the Product:

    • Choose the product you want to offer as a free reward (e.g. Cherry red lip tint  – $50.00).

  2. Configure Points Redemption:

    • Enter the number of points required for redemption (e.g. 150 points).

    • Set the Discount Value to match the product’s price (for full discount). Partial discounts are also possible, but in the case of partial discount the real purpose of offering a free product reward is not fulfilled.

  3. Add Internal Comment:

    • Enter a clear comment that explains the reason for the discount (e.g., “$10 discount for 150 points on Cherry red lip tint”).

  4. Set Minimum Purchase Amount:

    • No minimum, or a specified minimum (e.g., $1) purchase can be set. It applies only to the selected reward product.

  5. Allow Discount Combinations:

    • Choose whether this discount can be combined with other discount types (order, shipping, product discounts) as shown by ticked checkboxes.

  6. Status & Notifications:

    • Set the rule to Active for customers to access it.

    • Mail notifications can be enabled to inform users of available rewards.

  7. Redemption Location:

    • Decide if customers can redeem on cart or checkout via the “Manage” button.


FAQ


Q: What does “Please keep the discount value the same as the price of the product” mean?
 A: For the selected product to be truly “free,” the discount must equal its current price. Partial discounts are possible but offer the product at a reduced price, not as a free gift.

Q: Can I apply a minimum purchase amount?
 A: Yes, you can require customers to meet a minimum spend (applies to the product selected for the reward).

Q: Can this rule be stacked with other discounts?
 A: Yes, simply check order, shipping, and/or product discount options to allow combinations.

Q: What if I want to remove the rule?
 A: Click the “Delete” button in the upper right.

Q: Will customers get notified?
 A: Yes, if “Mail” is enabled under Notifications, customers receive an email when the reward is available or used.
