Introduction

The Fixed Amount Discount rule allows you to give customers a flat discount in exchange for a fixed number of points.

Example: 200 points = $10 off any order

How It Works

  • Customers must have enough points in their balance to redeem the reward.

  • The discount applies instantly when selected at checkout.

  • By default, there's no minimum order requirement, but the cart value must exceed the discount amount to prevent zero-balance orders.


Best Practice: Set a minimum purchase amount 2-5x higher than the discount (e.g., $10 off on orders $25+) to protect margins while rewarding customers.

Setup Instructions

  1. Navigate to Loyalty Program > Ways to Redeem.

  2. Select Fixed Amount Discount.

  3. Configure:

    • Points required (e.g., 200 points)

    • Discount value (e.g., ₹10)

    • Comment (reason for redemption)

    • Minimum purchase amount (recommended)

  4. Set the Redemption Location (via Manage button)

    • Choose whether customers can redeem this on the cart page or checkout page.

  5. Under Status, ensure the rule is set to Active.

  6. Click Save Changes.

Once activated, this redeem rule will appear on the storefront for customers. ( Add SS )

Redemption Restrictions


1. Minimum Purchase Amount

Set a minimum purchase value that customers must meet before using the discount.

Example: Customers can only redeem a $10 discount if their cart total is $500 or more.


2. Combinations with Other Discounts

Allow this rule to work with other discount codes.

  • Order discounts

  • Product discounts

  • Shipping discounts

Simply select the options you want to allow.

How can customers be notified when they earn points?

To keep customers informed about their redemption: Enable email or push notifications from Flits Admin → Notification

Deleting the Rule

You can delete this rule anytime if it is no longer required. If deleted, customers will no longer see this reward as a redemption option.

Quick Tips

  • Use simple ratios in multiples of 5 or 10 (e.g., 100 points = $5 in )

  • Avoid decimals for easier understanding.

  • Set a minimum purchase amount wisely to balance customer rewards and revenue.
