Flits provide a service that summarizes customer’s data into a single location in the form of a customer portal, along with features such as reorder functionality, recently viewed products, customer profiles, delivery address management, account password changes,store credit, social login, wishlist and an advanced dashboard for merchants using Shopify to power their stores. 

This Privacy Policy outlines how your Shopify store and customer’s information is collected, utilized, and shared when you install or use the Flits App in connection with your Shopify-supported store.


Personal Information the App Collects

When you install the Flits App, we automatically gain access to specific types of information from your Shopify account, including:

  • read_content: This allows us to access articles, blogs, comments, pages, and redirects for our Link store page feature.

  • read_orders: This provides access to orders, transactions, and fulfillments, enabling us to offer Store credit rules.

  • read_price_rules and write_price_rules: These permissions allow us to manage price rules (cart value)  for services like Store Credit.

  • read_customers and write_customers: With these permissions, we can manage customer data and save searches for the customer dashboard feature.

  • read_themes and write_themes: These permissions help us manage assets and themes, as we install our code using this API.

  • read_products and write_products: These permissions enable us to manage products, variants, images, collections, and offer features like Wishlists.

  • read_script_tags and write_script_tags: We use these permissions for customer tracking (under development).


When do we collect merchant/customer information?

Additionally, we collect information when you enter data on our site or when customers sign up at your store.

How Do We Use Your Information?

We may use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • Quickly addressing your inquiries.

  • Sending periodic emails with updates.

  • Following up after correspondence, such as live chat or email.

  • Email address: Collecting email addresses for responding to inquiries and marketing to our mailing list.

Our Support team may ask for Screen Sharing through Team Viewer or Any Desk if required.

What Personal Information Do We Collect from Visitors to our website?

When you visit our blog, website, or app, we may collect your name, email address, or other details when you order or register on our site to enhance your experience. 


Use of Cookies

Data Deletion

We commit to deleting all data related to your store and customers once you uninstall our app.

We do not sell, trade, or transfer Personally Identifiable Information to external parties without prior notice and permissions. Exceptions include website hosting partners and other trusted parties who assist us in running our website and serving our users, provided they agree to maintain information confidentiality. We may also release information to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect rights, property, or safety, though this would not include personally identifiable visitor information.
